Adriyel Mondloch
Adriyel Mondloch has been the Community School Coordinator at Capitol View since 2019. In her role, she works with the community to ensure families, students, and staff at Capitol View have what they need to be successful at school, home, and in the community. She strives to make Capitol View families and supporters feel welcomed, loved, and connected. Her goals include increasing family engagement, expanding student opportunities, supporting families’ health & well-being, and ensuring student and family voices inform school decisions.
Adriyel grew up in the Des Moines metro and has been passionate about gaining cultural awareness from a young age. She pursued her bachelors degree in anthropology from Grinnell College. After graduating, she completed two years of service work, learning how professional and personal values can align. She celebrates the vibrant community activism and cultural diversity present in Des Moines.
She currently lives in Des Moines with her partner and two fur babies, Moose & Freddie. Adriyel feels most energized when meeting new people, engaging in meaningful conversations, and learning from others. She enjoys spending time with loved ones, camping, and attending community events.
