Each year Latina Leadership Initiative of Greater Des Moines (LLI) begins to accept applications for the new years cohort. Once participants are accepted to the program they will gain various opportunities from a rich tailored curriculum to empower the next Latina leader.
What makes our program successful is the dedicated mentors that create an all-encompassing experience that allows participants to see exactly how each topic affects them, and how their talents can, in turn, affect change in those areas. Visit our mentoring program page for our checklist in how to become a mentor.
The mission of Latina Leadership Initiative (LLI) is to focus on emerging Latinas leaders in Iowa, and fill in the gap in the lack of culturally appropriate leadership training for promising Latina women. The board will support the work of LLI and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance.
